What is Meet Now?

Meet Now is a new experience within Microsoft Teams group chats that enables users to initiate a live discussion instantly. It’s as simple as clicking a button – no ringing, no waiting, just straight to productive conversation. This feature will be available in Teams 2.1 for desktop and web, as well as Teams Mobile for Android and iOS.

How to Use Meet Now

  1. In your group chat, find the new Meet Now button, located at the top, right corner
  2. Click on it to start an instant meeting. No need to schedule or wait for participants to join

  3. The meeting window will open, allowing you to conduct your meeting with ease

How to Discover Ongoing Discussions

You can find and join ongoing Meet Now discussions directly from your list of chats or the top right corner of a group chat. It’s that easy to stay connected and jump into conversations.

This feature will be rolled out automatically, requiring no admin action prior to the rollout. However, it’s a good idea to inform your users about this new capability and update any relevant documentation.
