Viva Engage – Domain/URL Update

Create Up To 50 Distinct Experiences in Viva Connections
Viva Connections
Customers with Viva Suite or Viva Employee Communications & Communities licenses can currently create up to 10 Connections experiences. We will soon be enhancing that limit to 50 experiences. This will allow greater flexibility for large enterprise customers who are looking to create more than 10 (and up to 50) Connections experiences.

Product-wide disablement of email to private message feature in Viva Engage (Yammer)

After 13th November 2023, Viva Engage (Yammer) will no longer support the creation of private messages through email. It will still be possible for users to post messages to communities through email.

Viva Connections: Apply brand colors across all Connections endpoints using themes

Soon you’ll be able to further customize the Connections experience by applying the themes available in SharePoint to reflect organizational brand colors across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Microsoft Viva: Search in Viva Connections Mobile for iOS
Viva Connections
Search will now be enabled in the Viva Connections (VC) app in Teams. Along with searching in Teams, VC users will also be able to get intranet search results. This feature will be rolled out in a phased manner starting with iOS in mobile only, followed by Android in mobile and then Tablet. The current update is linked to iOS in mobile and we will send out a notification before other phases as well.

Viva Engage | User reactions in eDiscovery is GA

We are excited to share that as of October 3rd 2023, user reactions to messages* in Viva Engage will be ingested for eDiscovery. Hence, any content search done on Viva Engage messages will retrieve all user reactions on those messages in eDiscovery. The solution is now GA to all our customers, in our effort to further strengthen the compliance standards of Viva Engage and deepen the trust of our customers in the product.

Viva Pulse Customization Control Migration

The customization control in the Viva Pulse Admin Experience will soon be managed through centralized feature access management in Viva through PowerShell. This customization control provides admins the ability to turn on or off customization capabilities for survey authors to add their own questions to existing stock templates or edit existing stock questions. With centralized feature access management, admins can configure access at the tenant level, group level (using AAD groups or M365 Groups), or at the user level, for maximum flexibility.
Expanded reactions in Viva Engage

We’re expanding the set of reactions available in all instances of Viva Engage. Users will see an additional 24 icons on top of the 6 we already offer. These new icons cover a wide range of emotions and sentiments, helping users express themselves and improve engagement in your network.

New adoption health metrics dashboard available for Viva Topics

Track the status of your adoption of Viva Topics with our new adoption health metrics dashboard! This feature is currently in Preview. We will begin rolling out to all Viva Topics tenants in late October and expect to complete by mid-November.
People Search Card in Viva Connections

Viva Connections have a new card where admins now have the option to incorporate a new people search card for their organization. This card enables colleagues to effortlessly search for and communicate with one another within the organization using Teams chat and email.
Refreshed Landing Experience for Viva Connections Desktop
Viva Connections
The refreshed Viva Connections landing experience offers a more intuitive layout and introduces several requested new features including branding capabilities, sending announcements, a revamped Resources section, and support for different card sizes. This experience will also bring the Feed back into the viewport on your Connections page.

Microsoft Viva : Connections Boosted News Notifications

Soon, in addition to existing news notifications, user of Viva Connections will also receive notifications for boosted news on the organization’s news site. This will allow communicators to more directly reach end user with important company news and communications.
