Viva Connections Dashboard Customization

Microsoft announced that dashboard customization is now available on Viva Connections Mobile! This feature allows your employees to personalize their mobile dashboard with the information that is most relevant to their work.
Microsoft understands that every organization is different, and you may have specific requirements or preferences. Therefore, Microsoft want to let you know that as a tenant admin or site operator, you can turn off the feature if necessary. The toggle turn OFF will be available in the dashboard details with the heading “Allow users to rearrange and hide dashboard cards”

Viva Engage iOS and Android apps: Navigation Updates

With this release, Users especially non OKR owners will land on their activity feed page that is prioritized with updates from leaders, people they work with regularly and OKRs that are relevant to help them stay informed on the status, progress, comments/reactions from people of the goals they care about. Users can comment/react to the post in the activity feed.

New Viva Goals Admin Experience

In May, Microsoft will begin rolling out a new admin experience for Viva Goals. This update is designed to create more consistency and clarity navigating the admin experience across the Viva suite. To access the experience, navigate to the setup tab in the left nav of the Microsoft 365 admin center, then click on Viva Collection -> Viva Goals.
Viva Engage (Yammer): iOS App Minimum Support Changes

For the Viva Engage (Yammer) app on iOS devices, iOS 15 or later will now be required for the Viva Engage (Yammer) mobile app. Phones running iOS 14 will still be able to use Viva Engage (Yammer) after the cutoff but won’t receive any new app updates.

Bulk Community Member Import for Viva Engage GA

As a Viva Engage community manager, one of the most important and time-consuming tasks is managing members, especially in large organizations where efficiency matters. If you’re a community manager for an Engage community in a Native Mode network, Microsoft is introducing a feature that will allow managers to bulk add multiple members to their community using a CSV file. This will help community managers establish their initial community membership, bring over members from another community, or migrate from another community platform. Community managers can add up to 20,000 members and the upload can take up to 24 hours to process.

Yammer Rebranding to Viva Engage

As Microsoft announced a few months ago, all Yammer surfaces will be undergoing a transformation and will now be known as Viva Engage. Users will experience the new Viva Engage branding across the remaining surfaces, including the website, integrations, SharePoint, Progressive Web App (PWA), embed, email notifications and email digest.
The last step remaining is the URL update, which will occur at the end of this year. Microsoft will provide more details as we get closer to that milestone. Our team is working tirelessly to ensure a seamless transition, minimizing disruption to your workflow. Microsoft appreciates your continued support and patience throughout this rebranding journey.
Retirement of storyline “Preview Features” for Viva Engage and Yammer

The “Preview Features” toggle enabled customers to get an advanced peek at four premium storyline features, prior to them being generally available. These features are now generally released and are available to users with a Viva Suite license, so this preview is no longer necessary.

Viva Learning content provider configuration feature will now be available in Viva Learning Admin tab

Provider configuration will now be available on Viva Learning Admin tab. Admins can add/edit/delete the LMS, 3P and global learning providers directly from Manage providers in Viva Learning app. The existing configuration capabilities on M365 Admin centre will no longer be available by 15th June.
Answers in Viva Information Panel

Next month, more enhancements for Answers in Viva will be available for Microsoft Viva customers. Admins will see a new information panel appear in the right column of the Answers tab within the Viva Engage app in Microsoft Teams, and on Yammer.com.
