Viva connections is being released to Android tablets
Viva Connections
If you have deployed Viva connections in your organization, the change will impact all Android tablet users. Before rollout begins, Android tablet users will be seeing a “Not available for tablet”, however, once we begin rollout, they will see the full experience. Some users might have been facing issues seeing VC app on their folding screen type devices – this update should enable VC for them as well.
Send Praise from Viva Connections Dashboard
Viva Connections
Site owners/authors of Viva Connections can add the Praise card from Microsoft Insights on the dashboard, allowing employees to send praise to their colleagues. The Praise experience is the same experience as the one available within Microsoft Viva Insights today.
Employees will be able to send Praise to their colleagues with the Praise card. This card will be available in the Connections dashboard toolbox.
Enhanced Viva Goals Azure DevOps data integration

This enhanced version of the Viva Goals ADO data integration enables users to directly link work items to projects and Key Results and eliminates the dependency on shared queries.

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – Cloud attachments support for Viva Engage / Yammer messages

Previously, cloud attachments worked only for links and link attachments shared in Outlook and Microsoft Teams. Now, cloud attachments will also work with Yammer/Viva Engage user and community messages.

Viva Engage now supports cross geo B2B Guest access

Viva Engage community admins will be able to invite cross geo B2B guests to their communities. If they do not want the cross-geo guest access to be enabled for their Viva Engage network, they can make the requisite updates to manage external guest access by following this guide.
New admin controls for Global and Viva Goals Administrators

Viva Goals Administrators (and Global Administrators) will now have a new admin page from which they can manage the existing Viva Goals policy settings for the tenant. In addition, now they will also be able to view and manage all the organizations on Viva Goals by updating the organization owner or admin privileges.

Teams will include an official Viva Topics app, where users can go to quickly access the Topic Center without leaving their Teams environment. It will include new menus for Viva Suite users to navigate between the Viva tools within Teams.

People in Viva for Microsoft Viva Suite
Microsoft Viva
Your Microsoft Viva Suite subscription is being updated with a new service plan: People in Viva. This service plan enables various People Experiences in Microsoft 365, starting with Org Explorer in Outlook Desktop.
Once the new service plan is deployed to your organization, features that require People in Viva licensing will become available within Viva Suite subscription. This starts with Org Explorer in Outlook Desktop.
Project for the Web Integration in Viva Goals

Integrations in Viva Goals help save time and energy by automatically updating your key results and projects through connections to other applications from Microsoft and third parties. These integrations allow data to flow from the connected applications into Viva Goals so that results and initiatives are up to date. Viva Goals is launching a new integration for Microsoft Project for the Web which will enable users to automatically update Initiatives and Key Results in Viva Goals based on progress in Project for the Web.

Additional details on the evolution of Yammer to Viva Engage

As announced last month in the MC514981, Yammer will be rebranding to Viva Engage this year to provide a consistent and delightful experience to our customers. We want to provide an update around dates and the in-product changes you can expect. As a reminder, the Yammer Communities app for Teams has already been rebranded to Viva Engage. We are now turning our attention to the mobile app (iOS & Android) and the Communities app for Outlook rebrand including their app icons and name
Data export features available within the Viva Engage Admin Center

In April, the same tenant and user data export experiences currently available in the Yammer admin center will also be available within the Viva Engage admin center for Microsoft Viva customers. Global admins, Engage admins (Yammer administrators AAD) and Yammer Network admins can export data from within the Viva Engage admin center in addition to the Yammer admin center.

Upgraded Viva Topics Admin experience
Viva Topics
Microsoft will soon be rolling out an updated admin experience for Viva Topics. This update is designed to create more consistency and clarity navigating the admin experience across the Viva suite.
Only the admin experience is being updated for Viva Topics, there is no impact to end user experience. Admins will be able to access the Viva Topics admin experience in the Microsoft 365 admin center via the Setup tab -> Viva Collection -> Viva Topics, or by simply searching for “Viva Topics” in the search bar at the top of the admin center home page.

Display connected topics on people profile cards is coming soon.
Want to learn more about what other topics someone is an expert on? Now, when you select someone’s name or picture in Outlook or other Office web apps, you can find that information on their profile card. Viva Topics will now integrate with the information that appears in the profile for each person.

Improvements to @mentioning behavior on Viva Engage

Viva Engage will soon have an improved @mentioning behavior available. Users will be able to @mention someone just using their first name/last name. This change would be available on web, and on mobile.
Releasing the Web version of Viva Engage Admin Center

The Viva Engage admin experience currently available within the Teams application will soon be available within the Yammer web surface (being renamed to Viva Engage) for Microsoft Viva customers.
This web Viva Engage admin center is accessible from web.yammer.com and provides an additional entry point for admins (especially users who don’t have access to Teams due to licensing constraints) to setup, configure and manage the various features for their organization.
