How to schedule Out of Office and automatic replies using Microsoft Teams

Set up a message to let others know you’re on holiday or not available to reply, was a feature that until recently was only available through Outlook being then propagated to other applications like Microsoft Teams.

If you spend most of your day working on Microsoft Teams, it makes sense to enable your Out of Office and automatic replies directly from the application before wrapping everything and leaving on a well-deserved vacation.

How to define compact mode in Microsoft Teams to view more chat messages on the screen

Microsoft Teams has a new feature that allows you to modify the chat density to display up to 50% more chat messages on the screen.

This feature is available through a new Compact mode in the personal user settings; however it only gets applied to chats and has no impact on teams channels.

How to use Microsoft Teams Walkie Talkie on iOS and Android

Released originally with frontline workers in mind, Microsoft Teams Walkie Talkie, a push-to-talk application is now available to all users on iOS and Android devices.

From this application is possible to send voice messages to team channels with the push of a button. This feature comes in handy for scenarios where users need to communicate with others in Microsoft Teams, but for some reason can’t type.

Microsoft Office files hosted in Microsoft Teams by default open inside the application using the web version of the associated Office application. Once the file is open in Microsoft Teams you have the option to open it in the desktop application, but it requires a few extra clicks and a few seconds waiting for it to open again.

Announced in the fall edition of Microsoft Ignite this year, Microsoft Loop is the a new app that allows users to collaborate and work simultaneously in real time in the same canvas with portable components that move freely and stay in sync.
