What’s new for Microsoft Viva – February 2025
This month, Microsoft Viva has introduced some fantastic updates that you’ll definitely want to check out. Viva Learning has received numerous enhancements, making it easier than ever for your users to access training resources and continue their learning journey seamlessly.
On Viva Connections, you can now add custom cards to your Connections dashboard, allowing for greater personalization and a more tailored experience. And finally, after a long wait, Viva Amplify now lets you publish your campaigns directly to Viva Engage. This long-awaited feature will enhance your ability to reach and engage with your audience more effectively.
There’s a lot more to catch up on within the Employee Experience suite of products from Microsoft. Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements that will continue to improve your experience with Microsoft Viva.

Microsoft Viva Engage on the web: New way to access to “Delegate management” feature

Before this rollout, users accessed the Delegate management feature for Microsoft Viva Engage on the web and Viva Engage in Microsoft Teams from different locations: The gear icon in Viva Engage on the web and the three-dot overflow menu in Teams. After this rollout, users can access the Delegate management feature in Viva Engage on the web from the three-dot overflow menu next to their profile picture, just like they do in Viva Engage in Teams for Windows and Mac desktops.

We are excited to announce the upcoming Viva Glint M365 Tenant Administrator role in Microsoft Entra. With this role, admins will have dedicated permissions to manage Viva Glint-related settings in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (MAC), without requiring the elevated privileges of Global or User admin roles. This role is essential for users who need to: read and configure all settings of Viva Glint in MAC, assign Viva Glint service admins, and create or manage Azure support tickets.
Microsoft Viva: Feature Access Management will support the AI admin role

Microsoft Viva’s Feature Access Management will support the AI admin role starting mid-February 2025. AI admins can manage Copilot features without extensive Global admin permissions. This includes current and future Copilot features in Viva. No admin action is required for the rollout. More details are available here.

Microsoft Viva Learning will introduce a spell check feature for search queries, correcting errors automatically. Users can override corrections if needed. Available in all supported languages, this feature requires enabling optional connected experiences. Rollout begins late January 2025 and completes by late February 2025. Microsoft Viva: Viva Glint – Enhance the Comment Experience for Live Surveys

Updating the survey experience to provide ability to display the comment box on the screen when a user is providing a rating. Currently, the survey automatically progresses to the next question after the user selects a rating, without giving them an opportunity to leave a comment. With this change, the program will have the ability for the comment box will be persistently visible, encouraging users to provide more qualitative feedback alongside their rating.

Microsoft Viva Connections: New News feature in Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Viva Connections in Teams will replace the Feed with a SharePoint News experience, starting March 2025. This update includes a Copilot-powered summary feature for licensed users on Windows desktop. The rollout is automatic, and users will see news based on their activity and permissions.
